I want to talk about something a little heavier but too important not to address…

What to do when client wants to discontinue?

Whether it’s an online course, private or group coaching…

Well after putting our own egos aside – because it does hurt at first – allow yourself to take a higher perspective…

How can you truly help this person?

What is coming up for them?

Is there a fear you can help them through?

When we can put aside our own agendas and truly step into a place of helping and serving, it’s much easier to gain clarity.

If we “go curious” and stay unattached to the outcome, we can truly get to the bottom of what’s going on…

So, book a phone call.

And ask questions and LISTEN.

What is truly going on?

Because at the end of the day, they hired you to help them, and this is part of it.

Determine if this is something you can help them through.

And when you further your knowledge in belief systems and the subconscious mind, it will be easier to help them through whatever fears, triggers and resistance is coming up for THEM.

Because this isn’t about you it’s about them.

And the answer may or may not be to continue with your program, and that’s okay. But don’t shy away from an important call that could change their life and perspective.

The other thing to consider is, do they want to be helped?

They may not, and that’s okay too.

Know when to let someone go…

It’s also important to look at how the coaching agreement came to be to begin with.

One of my mentor’s used to say;

“If you have to drag them in, you have to drag them around”.

A little harsh but you get the gist. If you have to convince someone to take your program, they are likely going to be more resistant to the coaching later, and will either not want to continue on at some point, or be difficult to work with.

Remember they must want their own results more then you want it for them – at least 51% more!

You also may have had a “gut” feel about a “red flag” but chose to ignore it out of fear of who your next client was going to be.

The problem though with red flags, is they always come back to bit us in the butt.

So, think about the lessons you learned for next time… and how to best support your clients when they come up against obstacles.

Have a beautiful weekend!
