As most of you know, I’ve been on a journey for over 8 years now after watching the Secret, to figure out exactly what blocks people (including myself), from really achieving what they want – in career, relationships, health and finances. It resonated with me deeply as the truth – that we can all be, do and have anything in life. I’ve dug deep to decipher what exactly was holding me back, and what holds others back too. This is has been my mission and purpose.
So with this studying came a deep awareness. It’s kind of like a double-edged sword. On one hand the awareness will set you free, on the other hand you become super aware of all things going on in the environment and for other people. It’s hard to turn it off. I’ve also always been a super analyzer and studier of human behaviour, so part of it I’m sure is because of this.
This is where it gets real. I’m sharing this because I think too often people in the spotlight act life everything is perfect – in their business, at home and in relationships – and it’s just not the truth. Everything takes work. Once you have the awareness, you still have to put all of the pieces together and gain new tools to help you make positive and meaningful shifts. Shifts as in doing things differently – operating from an empowered and positive state. Which leads to creating more positive and meaningful experiences.
So as our family gathered it was fascinating to watch. There were sarcastic comments galore flying around. It’s funny because I wouldn’t have thought our families to be that sarcastic in the past, but after doing some more digging and trying to operate more and more from a place of love rather then the ego, this stood out. I could feel the verbal attacking in my heart. People trying to prove that what they have going on was of importance and making subtle digs that put others down.
So I left. Went to Tim Horton’s (a yummy Canadian coffee chain with stores all around the country), for a breather. I thought, “What in the heck is going on here?”
And then it dawned on me.
No one feels Fucking loved.
That’s it! It’s that simple. People attack others whether strongly or subtly because they don’t feel good enough aka loved.
People feel the need to prove themselves so that they can feel loved because they don’t deep down.
People blame others so they have an excuse to not give love and receive love.
All of this is designed to keep us separate, isolated and alone.
This is the ego at it’s finest. The ego is the thought system that tells us we’re not good enough, smart enough or loved. This basically keeps us separate from one another.
The truth is that we are all one, connected through a higher consciousness. We are love and this is our natural state. When people say we’re meant to be abundant, this is what they mean. We are meant to receive and extend love, which equals the ultimate form of abundance (love) in all area of our lives.
I’m not saying I have this down by any means. This is a work in progress. In every second of every day, we have a choice – to choose to listen and operate from the ego, or listen and operate from our higher selves (divine guidance).
One leads to worry and fear, the other to love and happiness.
Imagine if everyone knew and felt this. We could put all of the B.S. aside and just enjoy life and one another.
