What an AMAZING trip I’m on! Most of you probably already know this, but I am in Peru right now and have been for the last week with my own Mastermind group! I’ll be posting more about the trip and what I’m learning – but wanted to give you a sneak peak of where I’ve been staying.
Here’s a shot of my morning yoga spot accompanied by a marvelous hummingbird. The sound of it’s wings actually sounded like a snorting pig! LOL!
And the retreat venue we’re staying at – simply breathtaking! So lush and green!
Most people don’t realize how important their intuition is to the growth of their business.
The definition of intuition in Wikipedia is the ability to acquire knowledge without inference and/or the use of reason.
It’s really that inner-knowing deep within you. You know when something feels good as well as when it “feels” off. There is so much information out there these days, which is great in terms of finding answers, but it’s also not so good at the same time because it clouds your intuition. When you become overwhelmed about which strategy to try, you flip into analyzing mode and try to reason with yourself about which direction to go in. Per the definition, this is not tuning into your intuition, it’s the opposite.
For those of you who have aligned your business with your purpose and bigger “why”, this is especially important. Operating a purpose-based business means being able to tune into your intuition. It’s essential to continuing to grow your business in the right direction – in alignment with your life purpose. This could literally make or break your success.
When you are in sync with your intuition amazing things happen. You’re excited and passionate about what you’re doing, and that energy will propel you forward. This will lead to results and growth. When something doesn’t “feel right” but you continue anyway, your energy is off and you will not end up seeing the results you would like.
I find this to be especially true with people who are new in business. They so badly want to find the answers – and rightly so – but will listen to various experts unconditionally. Experts do indeed have something to offer, after all that’s why they’re experts, but everything you hear has to be taken with a grain of salt. You don’t have to implement everything you learn. Pick and choose what is right for you. Tune in and trust your intuition. It is there to guide you and show you if you’re on the right track. For me, I will actually have a physical reaction. When an opportunity is right for me, I actually feel a tingly sensation run through my body. It’s the same feeling when I’m talking to a potential client about their life purpose. This feeling actually tells me they’re headed down the right path 🙂
Something to be aware of is fear. You want to make sure it’s not fear masking as intuition. Your intuition will never prevent you from growing. So if an opportunity is presented to you that will further your growth and you feel yourself resisting it, it is likely fear that you’re experiencing. Your ego doesn’t want you to grow. It wants you to stay small and comfortable. If you’re really honest with yourself, you will be able to tell the difference.
If, however, someone has told you to send out 10 emails to your database with a new launch, and this doesn’t “feel” right, it is likely your intuition. Stay true to your feelings. It’s okay to stand up for what you believe in and how you want to run your business.
Amen.
