This is Jude’s second week at school and we’re starting to adapt to our new routine. The most helpful has been to set-up systems for everything.

Read today’s article to get practical tips for setting up solutions in your business and life 🙂

When your life (outside) of work is flowing, your business will tend to run more smoothly too, so let’s start there. Think about what systems you can put into place to help your day-to-day life run a little easier. For example, choosing which days you will do the laundry, the budget, grocery shopping, etc. By choosing a specific day to for each task, you will not only feel; more organized, but you will also have more time to yourself. Think about that for a second. If you have a family like I do, then you know how fast the laundry can pile up. If you choose specific days of the week to “tackle” it, then you can enjoy some free time on non-evening laundry nights (guilt free).  Try to batch together whatever you can too, so that you’re not feeling overwhelmed with everything you’re trying to do. For example, we now do our budget the same night as one of our laundry nights, and that night has become our “get it done” night. It’s not very glamorous, but it is reality. The easier your life flows, the happier you will be, which effects everything in your life and business 🙂

Also, take a look at hiring people where you can. It might seem expensive at first, but I can tell you that hiring someone to clean your house is such a blessing! I am so thankful every time our housekeeper comes and it enables me to use the time for other things, like growing my business and spending time with my family 🙂 If you’re having a hard time justifying it, think about the work you are giving someone else. Recently we were having trouble reaching our house cleaner. I was out for a walk one morning and thought it would be really helpful to find someone dependable to come out on a regular basis. I literally walked around the corner and saw a woman unloading her car with cleaning supplies. I stopped and chatted with her. She told me she had just been praying that morning for another client! I really felt like I was helping someone out and started using her the next week 🙂 Ask for what you need and the universe will provide.

It’s really helpful to set-up systems where ever you can in your business too. Think about what your systems is form the moment you speak with a prospect to the time they sign-up for your services. Think about your daily routine in terms of time management. It’s really helpful to take a look at all processes you have in place for your business and systematize them. Create forms and even an operations book with all of your systems in. This will help you get and stay organized, as well as make it easy for you to hire extra help when you’re ready. You can hand over what you’re already doing 🙂
