This is a picture of our kids last week at the 4th of July festivities going on in our community. It was a great way to end off a week of holidays 🙂

This week I am busy finishing off the last few house items post-move and preparing for taking off 2 more weeks! This time to Canada! I feel fortunate that I can take my business with me anywhere and work from all over the world! I’m also looking forward to spending some time to checking in with my bigger vision for my life and business, and putting some plans in place for the fall.

Being able to do this all starts with creating a vision. Read today’s article to find out how to do this and what to do next.

Working on your vision for your life and business will help you get clear on what you want to do and where you want to be. You can then get started and start taking steps forward to realizing your goals. It’s hard to get going if you don’t know where you want to go 🙂

Step 1: How to Create Your Vision. Spend some time thinking about where you want to be in your life and business. It helps to write it down because by doing this you will invoke the feelings of what it actually feels like to live this way. This is will help you attract the people, events, circumstances needed to make your dreams happen. Make sure you are as specific as possible, i.e. where you want to live, what you want to do, whom you want to be with etc.

Step 2: Break it Down. With the above vision in mind, start setting 3 and 6-month goals. In another words, break down your bigger vision into smaller steps. What can you do in 3 and 6-month intervals that will help you get closer to where you ultimately want to be? It’s helpful to set 3 and 6 month goals in the four main areas of your life; career & finances, physical environment, health & emotional balance, and relationships. Setting goals this way makes achieving them manageable.

Step 3: Take the First Step. Take the first step in achieving your 3-month goals and assign a date to take the first step for your 6-month goals. Taking action is imperative. Without taking steps forward you will never get to where you want to be.

Step 4: Let Go and Let it Flow. Don’t try too hard to figure out how you will achieve your goals. Just pay attention to any inspired thoughts you have or conversations you have with people. Often the “way” to do things comes unexpectedly and in ways we don’t foresee coming. Just be open to all possibilities. If you think it has to happen a certain way, then you close yourself off to other possibilities. Go in the direction that you find exciting and inspiring (this is why it’s called inspired action).

Step 5: Timelines. Continuously set timelines for achieving the next steps. When you do have that inspired idea, assign a date to taking action on it. Break it down into manageable steps and assign dates to making it happen. This will keep you on track to achieving your bigger goals.

Step 6: Check in. Check in periodically with your big vision. This will also help you stay on track. You can modify as you go. This is important because you may find what was initially important to you no longer is. As you gain knowledge and perspective, you may change your bigger vision. This is okay, it is your life to live the way you like 🙂
