We have been rushing around lately getting things ready for the closing of our new house. Because we are from Canada and are buying a home in the U.S., we had to provide tons of extra documentation. It’s been stressful to say the least, BUT as with everything, it’s all about our perspective. Last weekend Jason and I decided to “flip” our mindset and went out to dinner to celebrate everything we’re thankful for. It was a success and we had such a beautiful evening out. It really is all about how you look at things.

I’m reminded again about the power of perception. You’re really only limited by your thoughts. Read today’s article below for more tips and stories on this topic.

Happy Memorial Day to all of my friends in Canada & have a great weekend!

The last time I flew I learned something. I thought there would be no way I could ever have a third child because I would never be able to fly back to Canada alone with the kids, therefore limiting the amount of my visits. Then on our way back to LA we saw a Mom flying by herself with 3 kids! She told us they do it all the time as her husband works for the airline and that her kids are used to it 🙂 I thought oh, this mindset / limitation stuff really does apply to all areas of our life.

I challenge you this week to really take a hard look at yourself and ask what it is you really want to do. Plough through the negative self-talk that will come up, and really dig deep. Isn’t your happiness worth a few minutes?

Now write down every reason why you “think” you can’t do it.

From there burn the list. Literally light fire to it (in a safe environment of course). You really don’t want any of that “gunk” hanging around 🙂 Know that these limitations are simply reflections of your own beliefs thus far. What if you changed your thoughts? What if you believed you could do it? How would your life change?

Now write down why you do deserve to do this. I’ll give you a few tips; because everyone deserves happiness, abundance is your birth right, when you’re happy, everyone around you is happy, you would like to set a good example for your kids, etc.

Start to think about some of the first steps you can take that will bring you closer to what you want.  Remember, it doesn’t have to be black and white, meaning if you start something if you have to quit something else. Just take baby steps.

Watch what happens now that you have decided to go for it. Notice how people, circumstances, events come into your life to help you move forward. This is exciting and will keep you motivated!
