Last weekend I taught a workshop for high school students preparing for college. I knew I was in the right place when I almost started crying during introductions! Have you felt that before? When you feel so happy doing something that you could cry? This is a sure fire way to know that you are on track. I had these feelings before when thinking about living in California. I even still get them sometimes just thinking about how happy I am now that I live here 🙂

Here is a picture of me practicing at the Toastmaster’s group I belong too 🙂 Read today’s article to find out more ways to know whether or not you’re on track to living your passion.

I’ve done a lot of reading in the past about Life Purpose. How to figure it our, how to know if you’re on tack, etc. At the end of the day, it’s pretty simple. Here are a few tips.

1.    You’re motivated and inspired to do your job.
2.    Your job doesn’t feel like work.
3.    You feel fulfilled with what you’re doing.
4.    You’re excited to go to work.

One thing that I want to point out, that I pointed out to the girls at the workshop last weekend, is that you may not have it all figured out right now. That’s okay. It’s important that you just keep moving in the direction that you feel passionate and excited about. The rest will keep unfolding as you go. On that note, it’s also important to stay flexible as you move forward. Your initial plan may take several different twists and turns, and at the end of the day may not look the way you first envisioned. For example, my vision for my business now involves speaking and motivating to large groups of people. When I first started my career, my goal was to build a coaching practice with one-on-one clients. I just keep moving in the direction I am inspired to, and opportunities keep manifesting as a result 🙂 Before we even got to California, I set the intention of doing work at the prestigious Claremont Colleges. I got that “tingly” feeling big time last weekend when I realized I was doing exactly that!
